The winning team, Imperial, consisted of Jim Totty, Nick Bradshaw, Mark Pallen, and Chris Harrison, students of Maths and Physics, Electrical Engineering, Biochemistry, and Computer Science respectively. The series winners' trophy was presented to Imperial by John Simpson, himself a contestant on University Challenge for Magdalene College, Cambridge in the 1965 series
