The 55th series began on 14 July 2025 and ended with the final on 20 April 2026, showing on Mondays on BBC Two at 20:30. Harper Adams University, which received university status in 2012, made its first appearance on the show in this series, as did Lincoln University and Green Templeton College, Oxford.
