Amol Rajan
Amol Rajan was born in Kolkata, India on 4 July 1983, moving to England at the age of three and growing up in south-west London. He obtained an English degree from Downing College, Cambridge, meaning that all three University Challenge presenters have been graduates of the University of Cambridge.
Moving into journalism, he started at The Independent in 2007 and in 2013 became editor at the age of 29. In 2016 he was appointed as the BBC's first Media Editor and since then has presented on BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio 4, and has appeared on many television shows, including acting as host of The One Show on a number of occasions.
