On the B645 between Chelveston and Tilbrook.
RoadsideThe only one of the current points that lies on a road, this one is on a bend at the top of a hill, opposite the aptly-named 'Three Shire House' and a water tower. It is also the only one of the eight we visited that commemorated the fact in any way; a four-foot stone pillar had the names Northamptonshire, Huntingdonshire, and Bedfordshire engraved on three of its four sides. The 'Three Shires Way' footpath runs a hundred metres to the east. |
